How to Register with GeniePoint
How it works
Download and register
Download the GeniePoint app. Then register with us. It’s quick, easy and free.
Find your nearest EV charger
Using the app, locate a nearby GeniePoint charger.
Just plug in and go
Start a charge with the app - or simply connect any RFID card to your account.
Please note, when you charge with GeniePoint, a pre-authorisation amount is reserved on your payment card when you start a charge session. It is held temporarily and is released by your bank once the total fee for the charging session is processed. Your bank can take up to 30 days to release the payment.
For registered drivers, the pre-authorisation is £25 and for guest users / contactless payments, the pre-authorisation is £35.
By using the GeniePoint App to start a charge, you will benefit from a lower pre-authorisation amount and we will only ever attempt the pre-authorisation once during your session. Visit our latest blog post for more information.
